Florida AI Construction Tech Start-Up Featured in ENR

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Artificial Intelligence construction technology start-up Togal.ai is already generating buzz even before entering the marketplace.  The Florida-based company was recently featured in Engineering News-Record (ENR), as well as Construction Executive.

“Automating some of the more tedious tasks in construction has been a target of machine learning for years, but the startup TOGAL.AI has zeroed in on one annoying task that has been overlooked,” writes ENR’s Jeff Rubenstone. “Calculating takeoffs on 2D drawings during bid prep often falls to an estimator, diligently drawing polygons to calculate how many door frames, light fixtures or square feet of carpet are needed. TOGAL.AI’s system aims to automate that process.”

Construction Executive’s Marla McIntyre also recently highlighted the company writing, “AI construction technology start-up Togal.ai automates the estimating process, which measures the size of each room’s square footage for pricing construction cost. Togal’s construction AI engine uses AIA measurement standards to automatically and accurately detect, label and measure project spaces and objects.”

Togal expects to enter the marketplace later this year. Following months of beta testing and sampling by more than two dozen general contractors and trade partners, Togal offers software that revolutionizes the estimating process in construction.

Using AI, the company automates the estimating process, which includes measuring the size of each room’s square footage to accurately price the cost of construction. Typically, estimators do this manually with rollers and rulers, or with a click and drag of a computer mouse. Plans for major projects can be hundreds of pages, taking weeks to complete. Togal can finish those jobs in mere seconds.

The goal isn’t to replace humans, but to allow estimators to spend more time helping their clients save money and build better jobs, thus increase their win rate. Togal is the ultimate tool to augment the human estimator and allow them to do more with less.

Togal has also been featured in the South Florida Business Journal, Florida Construction News, Construction Equipment Guide, Cafecito Talk with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and other outlets and publications.
