Award-Winning Miami Start-Up Makes “Top 50” Construction Tech List

MIAMI, FLORIDA – The list of the hottest, construction-tech startups in the world is out, and for the second year in a row, Miami-based Togal.AI has made the cut.

“We are thrilled to make BuiltWorlds’ Pre-Construction 50 List,” Patrick Murphy, Togal.AI Founder and CEO said. “Togal.AI is making a huge impact by speeding up the building process, and getting this international recognition is truly an honor.”

The 2022 BuiltWorlds' Pre-Construction 50 List illustrates top and emerging solutions leveraged by some of the largest contractors, engineers, and specialty contractors from around the world. Companies are selected based on a combination of direct industry feedback, case studies and survey data.

Togal.AI uses machine learning to automatically calculate the square footage of plans, labeling of rooms and walls, and updates of construction blueprints. For big projects, which can be hundreds of pages long, this compresses weeks of work into mere seconds.

The software is receiving accolades from contractors, and even from Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary. He was a deciding factor in giving Togal.AI the first-place prize in Miami Beach’s 2022 eMerge Americas Startup Competition.

“Having Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary back Togal.AI was a big moment for our team. The construction tech industry is growing rapidly and getting recognition from top entrepreneurs and BuiltWorlds alike is beyond encouraging,” Murphy added.

BuiltWorlds began with a small group of individuals focused on researching the most impactful ways emerging technology might change the way we build. It has become an international community and network to collaborate to push the built industry forward.

Togal has been featured in Engineering News-Record (ENR), The Real Deal, Construction Dive, Construction Executive, the South Florida Business Journal, Florida Trend, Florida Construction News, Construction Equipment Guide, Constructech, Tribe, Cafecito Talk with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and other outlets and publications.
